Got around to downloading an old recording from an old ass purevolume account I had. I think it has a bit better audio quality then the last one did.

I’ve had some time the past few days to record some pug gameplay demos for fun. If you need trouble watching, check out the post on how to record/watch TF2 demos. Enjoy.

I want to start posting some TF2 demos so I figured I would put up a quick how-to on recording and viewing source demos. This is mainly geared towards TF2, but the rules apply to every source game.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy
As I’ve gotten older in life I’ve lost all interest in the game. You know, the game everyone plays called life. The status quo; the norm. In high school I would get a lower than expected test score and be upset only for a split second until I decided it really wasn’t important in the scheme of things.
Today a friend and I were talking about music and the distaste I have for hip hop, rap, alternative rock or whatever it is that fills the airwaves today. I find it much more respectable to learn a craft, master an instrument or really fine tune your artistry. Of course doing these things won’t give you a top 10 hit, or the gazillions of fans Nickleback has. Instead you get the fans who are looking; and you achieve success nonetheless. I would even argue, the type of success that matters.
So I’ve decided that this mentality applies to all aspects of my life. There might be room for some respect to be given to those who play the game effectively, move in and out with the trends and succeed; but often I even question that.
You can play the game; get high scores, get your degree and get your six figure salary, but in the end, what really matters? I worry that often times it’s the questions people ask themselves at the end of their life that helps them discover this; and by then, it’s too late.
