Q3TOURNEY4

Quake has always been a favorite of mine, but I don’t play it as much as I would like to. It’s generally pretty laggy online so I try take the opportunity to play with friends when we LAN, which (unfortunately) is the only real play time I get. This is on Q3TOURNEY4; I’m working on getting the DM17 round uploaded which is pretty fun to watch; stay tuned. Here’s DM17.

NOTE: G_syns is on so my rails are a bit laggy; still fun.

The spiddles like the cold.

I decided to take one of my sister’s photos to see if I could make the cartoons look semi-convincing (as far as DOF goes). Fun; maybe I’ll do more.

“the consequence for overeagerness is the same as unreadiness”

Today I was told (as I sort of expected) that I probably can’t yet qualify for a home loan. I don’t have enough credit, I’ve only been at my current job for a year, I don’t have 20% down, etc. The main reason behind the inquiry was because the $8000 tax credit (free money which would otherwise take me a few months to save) will stop at the end of this year.

For me, it’s a real test of patience. On one hand, I know I should have more saved up, have a longer credit history, etc. and on the other I know I am ready for the jump into a real place to call home. I have decided to live life differently than our parents and grandparents have. A cheaper, simpler life (probably not too far away from the way our GREAT-grandparents lived). One where we are less reliant on the systems and people put in control of you. Maybe a place where we can grow our own food, make our own energy and live the way people were meant to live and I’m eager to get a head start on this while I’m still young.

The reality of it is you play by someone else’s rules when you have to ask someone else for money.

I know someone older and wiser than me would say take your time, but despite knowing that it’s still hard for me to be patient.
